Mother Nepal losing her sons?

Whereas erstwhile chairman of United Marxist Leninist Jhalnath Khanal claimed the other day said that he along with his party leaders were ready to put their heads in the guillotine for not allowing the country to disintegrate in the name of federalism, Baburam Bhattarai- the revolutionary claims that he too along with some two hundred CA members (from the opposition) were ready to give-up their lives for the sake of consensus (Constitution with consensus!)

The Unified Maoists leader Baburam who has been so far successful to manipulate the media and used social networking sites for his greater advantage- defending his failures, while addressing an interaction program in Kathmandu, January 4, 2015 said, “If the ruling parties forcefully take to voting to promulgate the constitution, the leaders in the opposition camp will be ready to give up their lives.”  

“We will not tolerate any acts to undermine the rights of marginalized communities,” he said.

“The federal model proposed by Nepali Congress and UML directly benefits the Khas-Arya group of people. Their model is based on ethnic model.  However, they have been claiming that our model is based on ethnic line…which is totally wrong…it is a political dishonesty.”

Is honesty left in Nepali politics?

Baburam according to his consort Hisila Yami is the Nepali version of India’s Mahatma Gandhi.
