Second round of talks to reunite the party of the former panchas, Rastriya Prajatantra Party headed by Pashupati Rana and Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal headed by Kamal Thapa was held, Tuesday March 24, 2015.The meeting was held at the parliamentary secretariat of the RPP-Nepal in Singhdurbar.
The meeting mainly focused on issues related to leadership framework and ideology of the reunified party.
Leaders attending the meeting confirmed that two sub committees were formed to resolve the outstanding issues.
Whereas RPP-Nepal remains so far firm on revival of constitutional monarchy, the RPP has already accepted the republican order.
The sub-committee formed to resolve ideological issues comprises of Keshar Bahadur Bista, Niranjan Thapa and Rajaram Shrestha representing RPP-Nepal and Dipak Bohara, Thakur Sharma and Ram Krishna Bhattarai represent the RPP.
Similarly, a technical sub-committee is represented by Dhawal Shumsere Rana, Chandra Bahadur Gurung, Mohan Shrestha and Dil Nath Giri and Buddhiman Tamang, Bhuwan Pathak, Hem Jung Gurung and Kiran Giri represents the RPP.
The other day talking to the media RPP senior leader Surya Bahadur Thapa had opined that there lay absolutely no possibility of unity with Rastriya Prajatanra Party-Nepal.
“Unless one among the two parties give up their firm stands, unity remains a distant dream only”, Thapa had commented.
Republican Monarchy.
