There lay absolutely no possibility of unity with Rastriya Prajatanra Party-Nepal, claims Surya Bahadur Thapa.
Caps the possibility.
The senior Rastriya Prajatanra Party leader adds, unless one among the two parties give up their firm stands, unity remains a distant dream only.
“We are in no position to quit our stand in favour of republican and federal order. I presume our party chairman (Pashupati Rana) too has conveyed our stand to them (RPP-Nepal)”.
“It is up to them now to decide whether they want unity with us or continue with their stand (constitutional monarchy).”
The Himalayan hitches remain.
The former Prime Minister made these views talking to media, Thursday, March 19, 2015.
“It is utterly saddening to see that our political actors divided on matters of constitution drafting,” said political veteran Thapa and added, “Instead, they could have united to complete the constitution drafting task.”
“They must not forget that the talks they are engaged in are not for entertainment purpose or for that matter to discuss their personal issues.”
“The local population and the international community have had enough of our political parties and their leaders,” he said and asks, “After all, how long can the people tolerate.”
“It is surprising to see that we have plenty of leaders but none capable to steer the country.”
But why all of a suddent SB Thapa made such remarks?
