The United Marxist Leninist Party Chairman KP Sharma Oli has further intensified his virulent verbal attack on main opposition-the Unified Maoists Party.
In a satirical comment made against party of the ex-rebels, he said, “We can trade the Unified Maoists’ Party in cash.”
He added, “They now need some ten billion rupees to stop their protest programs.”
He made the tantalizing remark while addressing a program organized by his party at its headquarters in Balkhu, Saturday.
“They had once disrupted the parliament. Only after documents were signed to give them some two billion rupees they allowed the parliament to continue,” he disclosed at the program.
“We can buy them quite easily. This is what they are known for. It has always been like this. They will stop jumping in the streets if they get some ten billion rupees. If we make a commitment to provide them the amount they will stop their protest immediately,” reiterated Oli.
“It is not politics. It is a tamasha. They are least interested in drafting the constitution,” he said and continued, “Why would they jump in the streets if they were committed in drafting the constitution.”
He also assured the program attendants that the constitution drafting process has moved far ahead and thus it will not take backward steps under any situation.
On a different note, Oli said that the ruling parties in Nepal are also in favor of implementing a system of governance that is common in the European countries.
He added, “They (European countries) on the other hand are totally indifferent towards the social character of Nepali society. They have thus been unnecessarily falring the issue of inclusion in Nepal.”
