How did a dragon-sized communist become possible in Nepal?

Rajan Karki - - -

Today, the existing communist states in the world are in China, Cuba, Laos, Vietnam and DPRK. These communist states often do not claim to have achieved socialism or communism in their countries but to be building and working toward the establishment of socialism in their countries.

Nepal is a democratic country. Nepali Congress- The party was formed in 1950 by the merger of the Nepali National Congress and the Nepal Democratic Congress along democratic socialist lines. NC ...

Founded: 9 April 1950. The party has been in power for some time, but has been ineffective since 1989.  But in Nepal, communists are seen as a politically decisive force.

The Communist Party of Nepal abbreviated CPN, was a communist party in Nepal from 1949 to 1962. It was founded on 15 September 1949 to struggle against the autocratic Rana regime, feudalism, and imperialism. Puspa Lal Shrestha is the founder.

The size of communists in Nepal has been increasing since 1989. The Maoist Civil War of 1996-2006 exacerbated communism. In the strength of the communists, On 21 April 2006, King Gyanendra declared that "power would be returned to the people". After this the communists became more powerful: - On 19 May 2006, the parliament assumed total legislative power and gave executive power to the Government of Nepal (previously known as His Majesty's Government). Names of many institutions (including the army) were stripped of the "royal" adjective and the Raj Parishad (a council of the King's advisers) was abolished, with his duties assigned to the Parliament itself. Finally, on 28 May 2008, the kingdom was officially abolished by the 1st Constituent Assembly and Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal was declared. Since 2008, the Communists have been the ruling administrators of Nepal. The communist has grown to the size of a dragon.
Nepal has become a pilgrimage site for world communists. Due to the fact that Nepal is a communist fertile land, there are 126 castes, geographically heterogeneous structure, hunger and unemployment. Another reason is the growing sophistication in the world and the replacement of Nepal's ancient Eastern philosophy with Western culture. The third reason is that the Nepali leadership is not aware of their culture, customs and traditions and they have been molded into a modern structure and their character has been eroded. Communism has also been fueled by the tendency of people to divide and plunder by spreading many superstitions and illusions. The interests of national and international aspirations have also widened the gap between what is being eaten and what is being eaten. Important questions Nepali is straightforward, simple and tolerant. The communists are taking unfair advantage of Nepali nature. That is why Nepal seems to be more under communist influence.

Democrats have become communist kingpins because of their selfishness in power.

Even after 70 years and being divided into many factions, communists are still influential. Democrats are older than communists but not as influential as communists. They always seem to be afraid of the communists.

SAARC countries Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. There are communist parties in Nepal, but they are not in such an effective role as in Nepal. The 18th SAARC Summit was held in Nepal in 2014, then the proposed 19th SAARC was not held in Pakistan. The reason was the Uri attack and the conflict between India and Pakistan. The Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi boycotted. Then the SAARC Secretariat is deserted, without a role. President Nepal has fallen into the shadow of India, not listening, not speaking, not seeing.

Why did SAARC fail? The main ones are environment of disputes and mistrust . Lack of communication about this has increased.

  1. India :
West Bengal, India, The Left Front ruled the state for seven consecutive terms 1977–2011. It was ruled by communists for 38 years. After the fall of the communists, today, open communist politics is spreading in India. However, there are dozens of communist parties in India. The underground Maoists are dangerous.

Manabendra Nath Roy (born Narendra Nath Bhattacharya; 21 March 1887 – 25 January 1954) was an Indian Communist revolutionary, radical activist and political theorist, as well as a noted philosopher in the 20th century. Formation– The Communist Party of India was formed on 26 December 1925 at the first Party Conference in Kanpur, which was then known as Cawnpore. S.V. Ghate was the first General Secretary of CPI.

The Indian government, led by the United Progressive Alliance, banned the CPI (Maoist) under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) as a terrorist organisation on 22 June 2009.

The Khilafat movement contributed to the emergence of early Indian communism. Many Indian Muslims left India to join the defence of the Caliphate. Several of them became communists whilst visiting Soviet territory. Some Hindus also joined the Muslim muhajirs in the travels to the Soviet areas.

  1. Pakistan :
The Communist Party of Pakistan is a communist party in Pakistan. But the meaning of communism is not seen in Pakistan.

Russia : In 1922, the Communist Reds were victorious and formed the Soviet Union, making Russia communist. Lenin died in 1924, starting a power struggle which ended with Joseph Stalin seizing power. He was the leader of the Communist Party until 1953.

  1. Bangladesh :
The Communist Party of Bangladesh is a Marxist–Leninist political party in Bangladesh. But the influence of the communists is not visible.
  1. Sri Lanka :

The Communist Party of Sri Lanka is a communist party in Sri Lanka. But- The Sri Lankan Civil War was a civil war fought in Sri Lanka from 1983 to 2009. there was an intermittent insurgency against the government by the Velupillai Prabhakaran-led LTTE, also known as the Tamil Tigers. The LTTE fought to create an independent Tamil state called Tamil Eelam in the north-east of the island, due to the continuous discrimination and violent persecution against Sri Lankan Tamils by the Sinhalese dominated Sri Lankan Government.

  1. Maldives :

The communists are few, their influence is nil.

  1. Bhutan :

The Communist Party of Bhutan (Marxist–Leninist–Maoist) is an underground communist party in Bhutan. The CPB (MLM) aims to start a New Democratic Revolution and overthrow the Bhutanese monarchy and the House of Wangchuck.

Bhutan Tiger Force, Yes, but what can 600 cadres do?
  1. Afganistan :

The Communist (Maoist) Party of Afghanistan Afghanistan- established on 1 January 1965), previously known as the Communist Party of Afghanistan, is an underground communist party in Afghanistan oriented around Marxism–Leninism–Maoism (MLM).

The Taliban is a Sunni Islamist nationalist and pro-Pashtun movement founded in the early 1990s that ruled most of Afghanistan from 1996 until October 2001. The Taliban are a Pashtun, Islamic fundamentalist group that returned to power in Afghanistan in 2021 after waging a twenty-year insurgency.

China :

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP), officially the Communist Party of China (CPC), is the founding and sole ruling party of the People's Republic of China. The CCP was founded in 1921 by Chen Duxiu and Li Dazhao. On October 1, 1949, Chinese Communist leader Mao Zedong declared the creation of the People's Republic of China (PRC)

Marxism–Leninism was the first official ideology of the Chinese Communist Party, and is a combination of classical Marxism (the works of Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels) and Leninism (the thoughts of Vladimir Lenin). Today, China has communism with an open economy, not a strict one. Xi Jinping's regime has launched a BRI campaign to connect poor countries around the world with Beijing.
China is Nepal's northern neighbor. About 1400 kilometers of border is connected. China has a separate budget for border people. China attaches importance to Nepal's sovereignty, economic cooperation and development partners, but China's interest is not to use Nepal's land against China. China's diplomacy with Nepal is embroiled in the question of how to save Tibet, which was captured in 1959. This is the reason for China's growing influence in Nepal. China has increased its covert investment not only in the mountains, but also in the Terai-centric party for its own interests. By opening more than 15 organizations and organizing communist holders, it is monitoring the diplomatic and political activities in Nepal. Chinese investment seems to be working to increase communism.

Even though the name is democratic, Nepal is one of the communist countries among the SAARC countries. Even though the big countries are between China and India, the Communists have grown under the influence of India and with the help of China. Thus, Nepal has become the center of communism in the world.

Democratic parties and leaders have been making mistakes over and over again. The failure of the democratic leadership to provide food, shelter and shelter has become the basis for the communists. On top of that, lack of accountability and failure to stand up for good governance is a bright spot for communists in a democratic country.

The key question now is how to preserve democracy in the face of the communist dragon. For this, an effective plan to connect democratic norms and the people is necessary.

The Panchsheel (mutual respect for each other's territorial integrity and sovereignty, mutual non-aggression, mutual non-interference in each other's internal affairs, equality and co-operation for mutual benefit, and peaceful co-existence) agreement or the Five Principles of Peaceful Co-existence was signed in April 1954 between India and China.. Nepal's principle is also Panchsheel and non-alignment. But both India and China are against this principle on Nepal. India and China have different interests. Nepali leadership is incompetent. They are not committed to democracy.
That is why the USA can play an important role in Nepal's democratic future through the MCC.
