Kathmandu, August 15: The Enlarged Zoom Meeting of the Asia-Pacific Regional Committee for Friendship and Solidarity with Korean People (APRCFSKP) concluded today with the participation of around 30 countries including Nepal, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Turkey, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Thailand Germany, Switzerland, Japan, Finland and others. Opening the Zoom meeting the Director of the Secretariat of the APRCFSKP Mr. Raymond Ferguson warmly welcomed to all and sincerely hoped all is well and our efforts and struggles have met with success. 

He, on behalf of APRCFSKP, welcomed the *80th Anniversary of Korea Liberation Day and extended sincere and solidarity greetings to H.E. KIM JONG UN, the Workers’ Paty of Korea, the Korean Armed Forces and all the Korean people on this day of Liberation. MR. Christian Popovich, President of Australia- DPRK friendship and Cultural Association supported the Director’s report and endorsed it. Mr. PR Pant, Secretariate Member of the APRCPFSKP supporting the Director’s report said that the Korean people’s heroic struggle for liberation, sovereignty, and justice is extraordinary. It honors the great victories of the past- from the liberation under the leadership of President KIM IL SUNG to the triumphant defense of the Fatherland against imperialist aggression- while reminding us of our duty to remain steadfast in friendship and solidarity with the Korean people. The meeting urged the activists and organizations related to unite in purpose, strong in solidarity, and unwavering in our friendship with the Korean people. * Comrade Teguh Santosa, Chief of the Public Information Bureau (PIB) briefed the activities of the PIB and Comrade Javed Ansari, Chairman of Pakistan-DPRK Friendship Association and Director of the ARIJI highlighted the upcoming *International Seminar on the Juche Idea in Pyongyang on October 7-11, 2025. The meeting acknowledge the activities of already sent letters by Comrade Peter Wilsion, EXBU Member of the APRCFSKP and Secretary of the New *Zealand-DPRK Society to the 193 members of the UN General Assembly and to the Chairperson from Costa-Rica of the International Peace Security Committee, one of the sixth committees in the UN General Assembly, on the issue of replacing the Armistice agreement into the Peace Treaty between the DPRK and the USA for the permanent peace and security in the Korean Peninsula. Very soon, the Korean people and world progressive people will greet the October 10, 2025, which marks the 80th anniversary of the Founding of the glorious Workers’ Party of Korea. Great Leader President KIM IL SUNG founded the WPK on October 10, 1945. The meeting formed the preparatory committee with the Members from Nepal, Pakistan, Indonesia and New Zealand to prepare the activities for celebrating the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) and to prepare the congratulatory message to the Supreme Leader of the Korean people His Excellency KIM JONG UN.
