MIAMI, FL – Donald Trump clinched the 2024 presidential election after securing the pivotal state of Wisconsin, marking an extraordinary comeback to the White House. This victory makes Trump the only U.S. president since Grover Cleveland to serve non-consecutive terms, capping a campaign that saw him win over battleground states, including Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.
Addressing supporters in West Palm Beach, Florida, on November 5, Trump celebrated a “powerful mandate” from voters and declared his administration’s commitment to rebuilding America. Standing beside his running mate J.D. Vance and his family, Trump called the night’s success “the greatest political movement of all time” and pledged to “heal” a divided nation. “We’re going to fix our borders, we’re going to fix everything about our country,” he promised, adding that “America’s future will be bigger, better, bolder, richer, safer, and stronger than it has ever been before.”
Trump acknowledged Republicans’ unexpected success in the Senate, where they secured at least 50 seats. “The number of victories in the Senate was absolutely incredible… nobody expected that,” he said. With this newfound control, Trump reiterated his plan to crack down on undocumented migration, one of his campaign’s cornerstones, vowing, “We’re gonna have to seal up those borders.”
He also thanked prominent supporters who rallied behind him, including Vance, whom he praised as “a good choice,” as well as Elon Musk, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and UFC President Dana White. Reflecting on an assassination attempt in July, Trump attributed his survival to divine intervention. “God spared my life for a reason,” he told supporters. “That reason was to save our country and to restore America to greatness.”
Throughout his address, Trump underscored a commitment to restoring “a strong, safe, and prosperous America” for future generations. “I will not let you down,” he pledged. His remarks reinforced a vision for what he described as “the golden age of America,” promising to bring “every ounce of energy, spirit, and fight” to his new term.
With 292 electoral votes, his campaign delivered critical flips in Pennsylvania and Georgia, cementing his lead over opponent Kamala Harris. This victory, alongside Republican gains in Congress, signals a significant shift in U.S. politics.
