The Chairman of Press Council Nepal, Balkrishna Basnet, has raised questions about the statement made by Maoist Chairman and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda contrary to public expectations.
 

Prachanda has been opposing the new government formed by the amalgamation of two big parties.A few days ago, Maoist Chairman Prachanda responded that the new government should look towards Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

Council Chairman Basnet commented that he was not able to do anything when he was in the leadership, he forgot the country and the people.

Through social media, Chairman Basnet has made a strong comment saying that he could not do anything when he was the Prime Minister, but Prachanda was trying to stop the work and hopes of the people when he was out of power.

Basnet was appointed as the chairman of media regulatory body council by the previous government led by K.P Sharma Oli.

After that, when the Maoist government was in power, it was unsuccessfully tried to remove it 4 times at different times.
