Whereas unconfirmed reports coming from New Delhi have it that India’s South Block brown sahebs led by S. Jayashankar, are discussing possibility of more tighter and declared economic blockade against Nepal, Ranjit Rae, India’s ambassador to Nepal met with President Sushil Koirala of Nepali Congress and also Prime Minister Khadga Prasad Oli, Sunday November 29, 2015.
The report from New Delhi claims that babus seated in South Block- who generally treat Nepali political leaders as their servants, have become furious with them for publicly criticizing India for its recent action and also for misinforming the world on the situation prevailing along border trade points between the two countries.
The intensity of their anger against Nepali political leaders is such that they have begun discussing the possibility of imposing a ‘real blockade against Nepal’. The proposal has already been presented to the political leadership but no decision has yet been made in this regard, reports the source.
Be that as it may, Prime Minister’s press advisor Pramod Dahal informed the media that in the meeting between PM Oli and Ambassador Rae situation prevailing in Madhesh and the effect of India embargo on the entire country was discussed.
