Japan is deeply concerned over the shortage of essential materials, especially fuel and petroleum products in Nepal as it is increasingly impacting the daily lives of all the people living in the country, a statement issued by the Embassy of Japan in Kathmandu November 18, 2015 reads.

The statement reads that the fuel shortage is also preventing post-earthquake relief community including the international organizations and NGOs from effectively conducting their humanitarian activities in the affected areas.

“We sincerely hope that the current difficult situation in Nepal to be resolved peacefully and in a way to foster cooperation, as well as mutual trust and understanding among all the parties concerned”, the statement adds.

We will continue to actively support Nepal’s reconstruction efforts to “Build Back Better” from the earthquake disaster, the statement concludes.

Shall other countries follow the Japan example?
