China has assured once again that it is ready to provide all kinds of support to relieve to Nepal from on the ongoing fuel crisis it is facing.
Getting more reliable now.
Speaking at a regular press briefing on Monday, China’s Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Hua Chunying said that both the sides are in regular contact and that her country was ready to relieve Nepal from all kinds of miseries faced by fuel shortages.
So nice of you Ms. Hua.
Hua said, “The Chinese side is ready to offer necessary assistance upon the request of the Nepali government as a friendly neighbour to relieve its shortage of fuel supply. The Chinese and Nepali sides are in close communication on that.”
A Nepali team headed by Nepal’s Ambassador to China Mahesh Maskey is currently in Beijing to sign a deal to import petro-products from China. The government of Nepal has earlier decided to import 40 per cent of total fuel consumed by the country through China.
An eight member government delegation also represents officials from ministry of foreign affairs, ministry of finance, Ministry of Commerce and Trade and Nepal Oil Corporation.
The deal if materialized will bring an end to India’s monopoly for the import of petro-products in the Nepali market.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has already sent a formal request to the Chinese government to make necessary arrangement towards signing the deal.
PS: Great opportunity for China if she can help Nepal this time around. Enters the Dragon. Thanks China and its sensitive leadership. A freind in need is frind indeed.
