Communists had no faith, no miracles, could not show. They are still spreading confusion by talking about the magic of communism.
Charu Majumdar is called the Father of Naxalites in India. When he was imprisoned, he was told that his followers were living a capitalist life. He did not take any medicine or was not given any medicine. He died in prison. He did not send any information before he died. Kanu Sanyal was on the path shown by Charu. He committed suicide in 2010 after seeing his fellow communist comrades leave the class struggle and choose a happy life. The Naxalite that started from West Bengal, India with a population of 330 million, is not dead, but even if the Maoist people’s war is stopped in Nepal, it has become a red corridor to Orissa, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka via Bihar, West Bengal, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh. However, the political status of the leaders of the Indian communist movement, from Sitaram Yachury to D Raja, is shrinking. There have been sporadic incidents of insurgency and explosions in India.
In Nepal, there was a state of terror called People’s War for 10 years, 9 months and 5 days from 13 February 1996 to21 Nov. 2006. 17,000 people (including both civilians and armed forces) were killed during the conflict. In addition, an estimated 100,000 to 150,000 people were internally displaced as a result of the conflict. Furthermore, this conflict disrupted nationwide development activities. The revolution resulted in political, social and cultural change in Nepal.
The People’s War ended in 2006. Even in 2022, transitional justice has not been achieved. The party cadres were given jobs in Truth and Reconciliation Commission and Disappearance Commission but no action was taken on the complaints of more than 64,000 victims. The victims of the People’s War are still in pain.
Maoist MP Dev Gurung says that people’s war issues are not attracted to the international court. The Maoists have appointed their lawyer as law minister to create an atmosphere of amnesty.
People’s war and people’s movement brought about political change. Maoist Prachanda, Maoist Dr. Baburam Bhattarai, Communist Madhav Nepal, KP Oli came to power. Became the decisive player of the political center. The Maoists Mohan Vaidya, Biplav, Ram Bahadur Thapa, Matrik Yadav and Shakti Basnet did not have time to pay attention to the meaning of communism in politics. Some are moving forward in the journey of mutual conflict and power, some are disappearing in the political cloud. Even Jhapa Rebel Teacher Mohan Chandra Adhikari and Communist Teacher Mohan Bikram Singh. Mohan Chandra Adhikari has been isolated and lost in solitude. Mohan Bikram Singh has survived by making a statement and succeeded in making Mrs. Durga Poudel an MP. His race to become a minister is still going on.
All the communist leaders talk about the rights of the poor, the proletariat, equality, the marginalized, the peasant workers and women. In fact, communists have become anti–development, anti–civilization, anti–principle and anti–integrity. Nepali communists are the most opportunistic. Politics is a business for communists.
After the change of April 24, 2006, the communists have not been separated from power, power and property. On the same day, the king stepped aside, and on May 28, 2008, the monarchy was overthrown. Communists who brought change, Congressmen became the new king. They has an illusion, we are all.
In the last 15 years, 11 governments have been formed. All these governments are run by these same parties and leaders. Are running. Today, despite the Congress–led government, the decisive Maoist leader is Prachanda. (Girija Prasad Koirala (25 April 2006 – 18 August 2008), Maoist Pushpa Kamal Dahal (18 August 2008 – 25 May 2009) (4 August 2016-7 June 2017), Communist Madhav Kumar Nepal (25 May 2009 – 6 February 2011), Communist Jhalanath Khanal (6 February 2011 – 29 August 2011), Maoist Baburam Bhattarai (29 August 2011 – 14 March 2013), Khil Raj Regmi (14 March 2013 – 11 February 2014), Congress Sushil Koirala (11 February 2014 – 10 October 2015), on the recommendation of the Maoists. Communist KP Oli (11 October 2015 -3 August 2016) (15 February 2018–13 May 2021) (July 2021), (13 May 2021 -13 July 2021) Congress Sher Bahadur Deuba (Since 13 July 2021.., (Fifth Times 1995–97, 2001–2002, 2004–2005, 7 June 2017–15 February 2018)
No Prime Minister’s tenure has been successful in terms of equality, rule of law, human rights, good governance, change, peace and prosperity. Every leader has weakened the law for political interests. Party cadres were appointed to ambassadors, judges and constitutional posts. Anarchy increased. Corruption and misgovernance flashed. Poverty and high prices increased. No one opened the industry, the existing industry was sold. Employment was not created. The practice of exporting young people for foreign employment has increased. The communists increased it even more. The report of Transparency International said that Nepal is a country full of corruption. The report says that corruption and abuse of power is rampant in the public sector, there is infiltration in trade and business, there is no action and control, there is no access of citizens to information, and political corruption is rampant.
Historical changes have taken place, especially when the communist leaders were swimming in corruption. Fourteen years after the fall of the monarchy, the former king has been given the sixth position in the rank of dignity. It is not clear why. They have insulted the former president by removing him again. The former king says that external attacks on the fundamental aspects of sovereignty, nationality and independent existence have increased, and any ‘republic’ or ‘democracy’ that has nothing to do with the happiness and prosperity of the people has become irrelevant. The former king speaks at the festival and remains silent. The people also get heated from time to time, saying that this system has caused misery and calmed down. Congress leaders, including the Communists, are involved in corruption. No leader seems serious about the distant future of the country, the expectations and sentiments of the people.
The unholy setting politics of these leaders took the court to the streets, turning the temple of justice into a pool of corruption.
The respect of the court fell like a fish on the road. The Chief Justice has been on trial since February 13, 2022. Decisions are not made because of political games. The party has been trying to insult the Nepal Army since 2006. Putting the statue of the Nepali builder at the doorstep of the battlefield as the ‘enemy’ of both the countries, ‘Ghus Linya and Dinya’ could not inspire the political parties towards this education.
Hindu Rashtra became secular, 94 percent of Hindus could not struggle. That is, along with the Communists, the Congress is also drowning in corruption. The level of communist immorality is increasing. Thus, the widebody, cantonment scandal, Lalita Niwas land case, Omni, Security Press, Gokarna Safari, land rent scandal inside the palace, the Congress, the heroes of the communists have become partners in corruption. The Westminster system should be run with ethics, morality and integrity. Corruption has become a virtue in Nepal.
Many corruption scandals have taken place. All Influential leaders are involved in all these scandals. So one does not take action against the other.
Last year, the United States held the Democracy Summit. US President Joe Biden has said that dictatorship, human rights abuses and corruption will be defined as the biggest ‘enemies’ of democracy.
The summit will probably take place again in December this year. Nepal will also be invited. In Nepal, the government is corrupt, the leadership is corrupt, the civil society is corrupt, the media is corrupt, the human rights activists are corrupt, the judiciary is corrupt, and the constitutional bodies are corrupt. How will the ruler of corrupt Nepal be presented at that summit.
The ‘Democracy Summit’ of the US President is not a ritual. The United States wants democracy to be widespread. Will the US tolerate the growing corruption and undemocratic practices in Nepal ?
The leadership forgets to think that the United States, a 75 year old development partner, including the MCC, has come up with the concept of meaningful and positive strategic democratic development, looking at corrupt governance and corrupt communism.
250 years ago, the creator of Nepal had said, ‘Bribery is the enemy of both Linya and Dinya nations.
The fact that Nepal’s so–called democracy is undemocratic and the communists are not aware that democracy will be achieved by using democracy is to invite another accident. The gift that Nepal has received after the implementation of the republic is only growing ego, conflict and corruption among the leaders. From jurists to intellectuals, civil society knows that political divisions have weakened the rule of law, a disease that has led to poverty, corruption and misgovernance. No one who has a social responsibility to speak speaks. Because even these people are drowning in the mire of selfishness. It is politics that runs the country. How does a country become when politics itself is polluted. How can people prosper.
Honesty has been replaced by dishonesty, accountability has been replaced by irresponsibility. Hygiene and justice are being defeated. No one thinks that ‘morality is a sin, it is a crime, it is treason’. Corona is disappearing, corruption is on the rise.
