This year July 4, 2022 marks the 50th anniversary of the publication of historic July 04 joint statement between the North and the south of Korea, the first agreement since the division of Korea.
Publication of the July 4th north-south joint statement served as a historic event in which the north and South declared their common desire for national reunification and demonstrated, home and abroad, strong will of the entire Korean people to achieve the cause of national reunification peacefully on the principle of independence with their concerted efforts.
To achieve the historic cause of national reunification President KIM IL SUNG put forth the 3-Principles of national reunification- independent, peaceful and great national unity on July 04, 1972.
June 15, 2000 joint declaration and October 04, 2007 declaration by the two rounds of North-south Summit meetings are the materialization, succession and practical development of three principles of national reunification, thereby praising the great vitality of July 4th North-south jointly declaration.
His Excellency Marshal KIM JONG UN, President of the State Affairs of the DPRK, bearing firm decision and will, noble love for the country and nation to achieve without fail national reunification, which was the lifelong desire of President KIM IL SUNG and Chairman KIM JONG IL, the eternal leaders of the Korean people and the century-old desire of the entire Korean nation arranged three rounds of North-South Summit in the year 2018 alone.
We, the social, friendship organizations and mass media organizations jointly express our will to further strengthen solidarity with world progressive people who value justice, peace and truth.
On this occasion, we urge all the concerning parties in the Korean peninsula and abroad to follow in practice the July 04 North-South joint statement, the first North-South Agreement and the US to withdraw her troops with all military equipment from south Korea and stop all kind of joint military exercise with south Korea which may trigger a new war on the Korean peninsula.
We strongly hold that the Korean Armistice agreement must be replaced with peace agreement between the DPRK and the USA.
This is the only way to maintain permanent peace and security on the Korean peninsula which only ensures permanent peace in Asia and in the world at large, where everyone wishes to live peacefully.
