There is the possibility of militarization in the country and there also lay chances for forceful revival of bygone monarchy”, so claimed Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal of Unified Maoists and he added, “India could also intervene in our internal matters if we fail to promulgate the constitution”.
Dahal made the remark, Thursday, September 10, 2015 meeting Madhesi and Tharu constituent assembly members from his own party.
Dahal was quoted as saying so by Ram Kumar Sharma- a Madhesi CA member.
The Madhesi and the Tharu CA members retorted strongly and claimed that the party chairman was trying to fool them by forwarding the irrelevant threat of Monarchy revival.
Annapurna Post reports quoting the party sources that the CA members claimed that pushing the possibility of regression their party Chairman was instead plotting to promulgate the new constitution in a status quo.
“To stop the monarchy from making a comeback there is no alternative except promulgating the new constitution,” Dahal said in the meeting and continued, “The Madhesi and Tharu agitation must be stopped.”
“I accept that the constitution does not support inclusive and proportionate order, the federal states have not been demarcated in the manner they should have been and constitution is also does not institutionalizes all achievements made by the peoples’ revolt and peoples’ uprising but we have no alternate except promulgating the constitution as it is.”
PS: But why should dahal fear India? He was there for several years as Indian guest. Isn't it?
