Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal of Unified Maoists Party claims that failure on the part of the political parties to promulgate new constitution for the country could pave way for revival of the institution of monarchy.

Monarchy’s revival could be the best escape for Dahal and his ilk for their miserable failure! Isn’t it?

He made the disclosure at an interaction with Madhesi Constituent Assembly members representing his party, September 9, 2015.

“The conspiracy to revive the institution of monarchy is already on,” he claimed and added, “We are expediting the constitution drafting process mainly to foil this conspiracy.”

He did not however disclose which ‘alien force(s)’ is backing revival of monarchy.

“The regressive forces become more powerful as we prolong the constitution drafting process,” Dahal is quoted as saying by one the Madhesi leaders, reports Nagarik National Daily.

The Madhesi leader also claimed that in their meeting with the party chairman, Dahal even claimed that ‘several power centres’ are engaged in the conspiracy to revive the dead monarchy.

“The Royalists are getting stronger and stronger thus, we had no other option than to exhibit more flexibility,” he said at the meeting.

This could be Dahal’s new ploy to subside the ongoing Madhesi, Tharu and Janajati dissatisfaction over the ongoing constitution drafting process?
