I am so pleased to hear of the special event to honour Comrade C.P. Mainali with the conferral of his Life Member’s Diploma of Asia Pacific Regional Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea. He has well earned this honour through his unflinching dedication in supporting the peaceful reunification of Korea. His leadership has indubitably stimulated others to hold to this principled position.
It is also pleasing that my old friend and fellow Co-Chairperson of APRCPRK and former Prime Minister of Nepal, Comrade Madhav Kumar Nepal will preside and His Excellency Ambassador Jo Yong Man of the DPRK will attend.
I wish all well at this special event and look forward to the continuing activities in support of the strong but long-suffering people of Korea.

I, on behalf of the Co-Chairman of Asia-Pacific Regional Committee for Peaceful Reunification of Korea , Chairman of Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Socialist) , Former Rt. Hon. Prime Minister of Nepal and Chairman of Nepal Committee to Promote Reunification of Korea Hon. Madhav Kumar Nepal welcome you here in this ceremony to confer the life Membership of APRCPRK to Comrade C. P. Mainali, General Secretary of Communist Party of Nepal (Marxist-Leninist) and Former Deputy Prime Minister of Nepal which was unanimously decided this year on May 31st enlarged Zoom meeting of APRCPRK where Hon. Madhav Kumar Nepal presided the meeting and gave the key note speech .
After merging the Asia Regional Committee and Oceania Regional Committee for Peaceful Reunification of Korea, the APRCPRK was formed on April 13, 2012. It is a regional united-front coalition which embraces and enlists all the friendship and solidarity organizations with the Korean people,
the progressive organizations, and anti-war peace organizations in the region, interested in reunification of Korea. It coordinately organizes and conducts regional activities to render supports and solidity to the just cause of the Korean people in their efforts to achieve the National reunification.
In August 2015, the APRCPRK held a consultative meeting of its leading members in Pyongyang on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Korea’s liberation to dealt with the practical issues to further promote the functions and role of the organization and on May 31 this year it held an enlarged meeting to discuss and decide to further activate activities befitting its mission and adopted an Appeal and its report, which have been loaded on its website (www.aprcprk.org) and where we can get more details.
As mentioned by President KIM IL SUNG Koreans have many decades of history of their own nation, culture, food, dress and cannot be separated into two parts. He proposed unified State of Confederal Republic of Koryo which will have one prestigious identity in the United Nations after achieving the great national unity of the Korean people. We stand for independent and peaceful reunification of Korea and extend our continuous support and solidarity with the Korean people for achieving early reunification, which was also the lifelong desire of President KIM IL SUNG and General Secretary Comrade KIM JONG IL.
Availing of this opportunity, the ceremonial meeting unanimously extends congratulations and best wishes of good health and happiness to His Excellency Marshal KIM JONG UN, President of the State Affairs of the DPRK, General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the DPRK on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of his election in the high post of the President of the State Affairs of the DPR of Korea and the Workers’ Party of Korea on December 30, 2011.
