
Assistant Minister for International Development of Communist Party of China Dou Enyoung has landed in Kathmandu, August 23, 2015 for a three day visit. He will be holding meetings with several political party leaders while in Kathmandu, it is reported.
Talking to media persons at the Tribhuwan International Airport, the Chinese leader claimed that the primary objective of his trip to Kathmandu is to further strength existing relations between Communist Party of Chin and political parties of Nepal. He also claimed that he will be meeting political leaders representing the major political parties and hold talks on issues of bilateral interest.
“The Chinese Communist Party and political parties of Nepal could undertake several joint projects for mutual benefit,” he said and continued, “We are celebrating sixty years of establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries. This is the right time for political parties of of Nepal and Chinese Communist Party to engage in activities that could further strength ties between the two countries.”
Chinese penetration increasing under several pretexts.
Among other top leaders, the assistant minister is also scheduled to hold talks with Madhesi leaders representing various political parties. He will also hold informal meeting with Nepal’s China experts.
In the meantime, the visiting Chinese leader has met with Chairman KP Sharma Oli of United Marxist Leninist. The meeting took place at Gokarna Forest Resort, reports confirm.
Present in the meeting was party general secretary Ishwar Pokharel and secretary Pradip Gyanwali among other leaders.
