China and India attack Nepal sovereignty over Lipulekh: Bhatta

११ सोमबार , श्रावण २०७२१० बर्ष अगाडि

I could tender my resignation anytime soon if the party does not correct itself, so claimed one of the senior leaders of Unified Maoists Party.

Central Committee member Lekh Raj Bhatta who has also been a minister in the past however claims that his resignation rumours are not true and that they have been spread by a section in the party that does not want him to continue serve the party.

He adds further, the party is heading to disintegration and the party leaders are more focused on their petty personal interest than serving the country and the countrymen.

On a different context, leader Bhatta also claimed that the agreement between India and China to enhance their border trade thought Lipu Lekh Pass was a blatant attack on Nepal’s territorial sovereignty.

He made the remark talking to reporters at his private residence in Attariya of Kailali District, July 25, 2015.

Nepal needs to immediately open diplomatic channels to resolve the issue of Lipu Lekh with both India and China, he advised, else he continued, Nepal needs to go to the international court if the two neighbours do not heed to Nepal’s request.
