Leaders of several Madhesh based regional and national level parties headed straight to meet friends seated in Lainchour, July 3, 2015.
In Lainchour resides fortunately the Ambassador Ranjit Rae of India.
They were full of complaints against the four major parties and the charter they are about to promulgate for the country, which they conveyed to the Indian Ambassador.
Chairman Mahanta Thakur and vice chairman Hridayesh Tripahti of Tarai Madhesh Loktantrik Party, Chairman Rajendra Mahato and vice chairman Laxman Lal Karna of Sadvawana Party, Chairman Matrika Yadav and Gopal Thakur of Nepal Communist Party (Maoist), Chairman Anil Jha of Nepal Sadvawana Party-Nepal, Amresh Kumar Singh of Nepali Congress and leader Ratenshwar Lal Kayastha of Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal had made the Indian ambassador.
The Madhesi leaders in the meeting sought for India’s help to convince the major parties to resolve their disputes concerning citizenship, federal and inclusive orders, electoral constituencies and relationship between the federal and state governments in the new constitution.
One of the leaders in the meeting also told the ambassador that following the 16-Point Pact, the 12 Point Agreement made between the then seven parties with India’s support is now null and void.
Meeting as such is not that bad.
