The Chinese Vice President Li Yuanchao in a meeting with Nepal’s Minister for Commerce and Supplies Sunil Bahadur Thapa has said that China was ready extend all kinds of support for the reconstruction of Nepal following the devastating earthquakes.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of China South Asia Fair being held in Kunming of Yunnan Province, June 13, 2015.
He also told the visiting minister from Nepal that China will be sending a high level delegation to take part in the International Conference on Nepal’s Reconstruction being organized by the government of Nepal in Kathmandu on June 25, 2015.
Vice President Li also expressed that his country was willing to help Nepal in the reconstruction of Nepal’s cultural heritage sites.
Minister Thapa talking to Kantipur Oli said that the Chinese Vice President also welcomed fresh pact signed by Nepal’s major political parties towards resolving their disputes on constitutional related issues.
“China is closely watching recent political developments of Nepal and have taken fresh agreement between parties in a positive note,” Thapa quoted the Chinese Vice President as saying.
But why Beijing is silent over Lipulek route that she has recently signed with India for bilateral trade? Is China a reliable partner of nepal? Perhaps not.
