One of the provincial governments of Peoples’ Republic of China has said that the government of China stands firmly behind Nepal’s reconstruction efforts following the devastating earthquakes that stuck the country recently.
Deputy Governor of Yunnan Province Gao Shuxun in an interaction program held at the provincial capital of Kunmin while stating that earthquakes in Nepal have incurred colossal damage he noted, “China stand firmly behind Nepal’s reconstruction efforts. China is ever ready to provide support to Nepal.”
The interaction program was organized to reveal the details of China South Asia Fair to be inaugurated by Vice President Li Yuanchao.
Gao added, regular flights from Kunming to Kathmandu have been halted following the earthquakes but he said, within a week flights will resume to normal.
The Kantipur Online reports further quoting the Deputy Governor, “We hope that the fair will provide with an opportunity to Nepal to promote businesses. However, we will extend our support from our side.”
But Beijing is silent about Lipulek route. Why?
