Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal of Unified Maoists landed in Gorkha- one of the worst affected districts of the country by the earthquakes, Saturday, May 30 2015.
He made it clear in a brief encounter with the journalists that his party is also not in favour of immediate change in government. Has Oli fallen flat!
“Constitution in consensus between parties and logical end to the peace process is our top priority,” said Dahal and stressed further, “A strong government is needed after the two tasks are completed.”
“The political parties are engaged in constructive dialogue to unanimously reveal exact timing for promulgating the constitution and then the new government,” he informed media men.
“The country is in a crisis, which demands unity between all the stakeholders.”
“First constitution and then only a strong government to take on the reconstruction works,” he added.
Importantly, Dahal also noted that cooperation between Nepal’s immediate neighbours, China and India for reconstruction works in the country is desired.
Making an interesting revelation, reports Annapurna Post Daily he said, “During India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Nepal an agreement was reached between Nepal, China and India to undertake development works on the basis of trilateral partnership.”
“The reconstruction works now need to be carried out in a trilateral manner,” he also said.
A report by Nagarik National Daily had reported that other day that official in Beijing had concluded that India was not at all interested in cooperating with China to jointly carryout Nepal’s reconstruction following the devastating earthquakes.
Whereas, the Chinese authorities had shown their keen interest to jointly carryout reconstruction in Nepal during India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s freshly concluded trip to Beijing, the Indians looked least interested, the newspaper had reported.
