The United Marxist Leninist Party Chairman KP Sharma Oli and the Nepali Congress Senior Leader Sher Bahadur Deuba have both been separately seeking to topple the government headed by Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala.

No news is good news.

Reports Annapurna Post Daily, dated Tuesday May 11, 2015, whereas KP Oli on Monday quietly sent one of his close confidants, Bishnu Poudel to meet main opposition leader and Chairman of Unified Maoists Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Deuba on the other hand is using his local and international connections to elevate himself as the head of the national unity government.

Talking to Annapurna Post daily Bishnu Poudel says, “I have felt that majority of our leaders are of the view to tackle challenges posed by the earthquake and also to speed up constitution drafting process and that is why a national unity government has become necessary.”

Further, the report claims, members of international community in Nepal too have begun lobbying in favour of their preferred candidates to head the national unity government.

“The United States and India have been openly lobbying for their preferred candidates,” also claims the report.
