Chairman Kamal Thapa of Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal has warned that fully adopting the federal model will bring economic collapse of the country.

“Nepal under no condition will be able to withstand the federal structure,” he said and added, “The federal structure is being forced in the country under pressure from foreign forces.”

But which foreign force Mr. Thapa?

“It will trigger economic collapse of the country,” he continued.

Thapa also opined that federalism has neither been the agenda of Nepali population nor even the cadres of major political parties support it.

Addressing a program organized by his party in Kathmandu, Thapa had made the remark.
