Pyongyang, June 20 (KCNA) -- The U.S. nuclear-powered submarine Mississippi entered Pusan Port of south Korea on June 13.

    The U.S. undisguised preparations in its mainland for the "operation of precision air strike" at the DPRK's nuclear facilities and nuclear force are timed to coincide with the introduction of two U.S. nuclear aircraft carriers in the waters of Asia-Pacific near the Korean peninsula. This pushes the already instable situation on the peninsula to more uncontrollable phase.

    The input of various U.S. strategic assets into the peninsula is a grave challenge to the security of the DPRK and peace of the region.

    Peaceful circumstances are more precious than anything else for the DPRK as it makes a general offensive to attain a high goal of building a socialist power.

    But the U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK and moves pursuant to it aimed to stifle the DPRK politically and militarily and isolate its economy have now reached a grave phase that can no longer be overlooked.

    Despite such situation the U.S. politicaldom including White House is making such rubbish that "the change of the U.S. administration's DPRK policy depends on the change of north Korea".

    How can tension be defused and stability ensured on the Korean peninsula by unilateral efforts of the one side when the U.S. keeps introducing strategic means?

The U.S. made very hasty and strategically wrong decision this time, too.

    The evil cycle of tensions persisting in the Korean peninsula is entirely attributable to the U.S. perverted view.

    The U.S. has refused to recognize the ideology and social system in the DPRK and posed unrelenting nuclear threats to it after designating it as a target of preemptive nuclear strike. To resolutely counter it is a clear exercise of the DPRK's right to self-defence to protect the security and peace of the country.

    Peace, most valuable for the country and nation, can be protected and guaranteed only when one's own strength is built up and one's own efforts are exerted. This is the truth taught by the present grave situation.

The DPRK is ready both for dialogue and physical step.

    The major variable of the situation on the Korean peninsula depends on what attitude the U.S. will take. -0-

 

Spokesman for DPRK FM Raps U.S. Moves to Block

DPRK's Economic Cooperation with African Countries

Pyongyang, June 19 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Foreign Ministry of the DPRK gave the following answer to the question raised by KCNA on Sunday as regards the foolish moves of the U.S. to block economic exchange and cooperation between the DPRK and African countries:

    An assistant secretary of the U.S. Department of State during the recent visits to some African countries talked rubbish that "the nuclear threat from north Korea is not far away" and "the period that a nuclear weapon may be used again has come after the lapse of 70 years because of north Korea." Moreover, he reportedly claimed that African countries should break off all their relations with the DPRK if they are to evade the "nuclear threat."

    As known to the world, the U.S. is the world's first country that made a nuclear weapon, the only user of it and the very one hell-bent on committing high-handed and arbitrary practices through nuclear threat and blackmail.

    Such a country, masking its criminal colors, has gone so impudent as to groundlessly assert that the DPRK is posing "nuclear threat" to far-off Africa.

    The DPRK's nuclear weapons are targeting not African countries but the U.S. persisting in its hostile policy toward the DPRK and serve as a treasured sword of justice to blow up the U.S., the den of all evils in the world.

    It is no more than a clumsy trick that the U.S. seeks to tarnish the image of the DPRK and sow discord between the DPRK and African countries through all sorts of paradoxes and estrangement moves.

    The traditions of friendship and cooperation between the DPRK and African countries are long-standing and historical ones that were forged and have developed since the early period of the struggle for independence and the building of new society in those countries. They are being further consolidated through mutually beneficial cooperation based on independence, equality and mutual respect.

    As for the DPRK's cooperation with Uganda, it started at the request of the Ugandan government long ago and has given substantial help to the country. As a relevant contract has expired, the personnel of the DPRK are now withdrawing themselves from the country according to an agreement between the two countries.

    Nevertheless, the U.S. is giving an impression that Uganda has ceased its cooperation with the DPRK under the pressure of the former. This is indeed ridiculous.

 The U.S. act of openly instigating African countries to sever relations with the DPRK is bound to go belly-up under strong denunciation of the countries in the region as it is a blatant interference in the internal affairs of sovereign states standing for independence.

    The government of the DPRK will as ever invariably boost its traditional friendly and cooperative relations with African countries in the idea of its foreign policy--independence, peace and friendship. -0-

 

 

NDC Spokesman Warns U.S. of Nuclear Counter-action

 

Pyongyang, June 19 (KCNA) -- These days the situation of the Korean peninsula is being rapidly pushed to the danger of the outbreak of a nuclear war.

A formation of nuclear strategic bombers B-52H under the 8th Air Force of the U.S. imperialist aggressor forces on Guam was busy with a nuclear bomb dropping drill under the pretext of the exercise for long-range flight and air-strike at strategic targets on June 17.

    The U.S. introduced the nuclear-powered submarine Mississippi capable of mounting a nuclear attack on the rival side into Pusan Port of south Korea on June 13.

    A spokesman for the National Defence Commission of the DPRK said in a statement on Sunday in this regard:

    The recent long-range flight exercise was a preparation for rapidly flying into the air over the Korean peninsula and the exercise for air-strike at strategic targets was a mobile rehearsal for making a surprise strike at the nuclear facilities, etc. of the DPRK.
    The introduction of the nuclear-powered nuclear submarine into south Korea from other waters is aimed at examining the actual possibility of hurling a nuclear force in case of the second Korean war.

    The U.S. imperialists are none other than the gangsters who do not hesitate to ignite nuclear and other wars to carry out their sinister ambition to shake the DPRK's will and resolute decision by wielding a nuclear stick.

    This is the true colors of the present U.S. administration loud-mouthed about "a world without nuclear weapons" and an ulterior aim of forcing the DPRK "to dismantle its nukes first."

    The reality goes to prove that the banner of simultaneously developing the two fronts held high by the service personnel and people of the DPRK is the best one to protect peace of the country and security of the nation from the disaster of a nuclear war.
    Peace is dear to the DPRK.

But, it does not wish to achieve peace by begging and sympathy.

Our way of achieving peace is to mount a prompt and merciless preemptive attack of our style on any enemy no matter from where it is coming to disturb peace which is so dear to us.

    The Korean People's Army has long put into the range of its precision strike the U.S. bases and logistic bases for invading the DPRK, including the Anderson Air Force Base on Guam where B-52Hs are deployed and naval bases for nuclear submarines.

The U.S. should stop running amuck to realize its anachronistic daydream.

The U.S. must know better about the capability of nuclear counter-attack of the DPRK, a nuclear power in the East.

Rash actions disregarding reality would only invite a serious disaster.

 The service personnel and people of the DPRK will dynamically advance to win a great victory, decisively foiling the "sanctions" of all hostile forces against the DPRK and their moves to stifle it and nuclear threats and blackmail against it.

Reckless Military Actions of S. Korea and U.S. Denounced

Pyongyang, June 19 (KCNA) -- Recently the south Korean military warmongers are massively introducing warships flying the cursed flags of the "UN forces" and the south Korean puppet regime into the mouth of the Han River beyond the hotspot waters of the West Sea under the pretext of "controlling" the illegal fishing by fishing boats of the third country. This is conducted under the codename of the so-called the "Han River operation."

    The mouth of the Han River is the place where military forces of the north and south have never appeared since the armistice in 1953.

    It is the area where all acts of both sides are correctly detected by naked eyes without any monitoring device.

    The "operation" conducted by the south Korean puppet army in this area with heavily armed warships and helicopters involved is aimed at escalating the intrusion into the hotspot waters in the West Sea of Korea into the inland to secure a chance for military provocation.

This military operation is underway under carefully prearranged preparations.

Prior to the kick-off of the operation, the south Korean puppet military warmongers pushed the intelligence watch posture "Watchcon" to "1" from "3 A" and launched an intensive watch on the area of the DPRK side day and night with drones and all types of electronic surveillance devices involved. One hour before the start of the operation, they put the artillery units in all operational theatres combat ready after raising their firing posture to "A" from "C".

    They have already formed the so-called operation team with the marine corps and the naval special warfare force in mid-May and let a huge task group made up of combat warships and helicopters frequently intrude into the naval boundary line of the DPRK side in all southwestern hotspot waters including Yonphyong Island from June 10.

    This clearly proves that the south Korean warmongers pin a great hope on this "Han River operation" in carrying out their scenario for escalating the confrontation with the fellow countrymen in the north.

    The provocateurs are so ridiculous as to publicly claim that accidental armed conflicts are more likely in this area than the northwestern islands as there is no fixed Military Demarcation Line at the mouth of the Han River and communication between ships is very limited there.

    This balderdash clearly shows that the south Korean puppet military warmongers are launching the "Han River operation" on the premise of military clash with the Korean People's Army.

    None of the preceding ruling quarters of south Korea ill-famed for inciting confrontation with the fellow countrymen in the north has hurled warships into the mouth of the Han River to spark the danger of clash.

The reckless acts of the Park Geun Hye group are baffling human imagination.

The military provocations of the south Korean military warmongers escalating to the mouth of the Han River from the hotspot waters in the West Sea are designed to cause the Korean People's Army to take a self-defensive counter-action in these waters and build up the public opinion terming it "provocation and threat" from the north.

What should not be overlooked is that the U.S. imperialist aggressor forces are directly involved in the operation, not content with zealously patronizing it.

Prior to this operation, the U.S. imperialist aggressor forces in south Korea appeared in Panmunjom and sent over loudspeaker "notice" in a sinister bid to explain its justice.

    By appearing in the scene of the operation kicked off by the puppet forces under the veil of the Military Armistice Commission which nobody recognized, they self-exposed that they are the arch criminals escalating the military tension.
    The U.S. artificially created the world's biggest hotspot waters by cooking up the "northern limit line", illegal and brigandish ghost line, persistently shunning the fixing of the fair extension of the MDL in the West Sea 60-odd years ago.
    The south Korean puppet forces are the worst confrontation maniacs keen to ignite the second Korean war at the instigation of their U.S. master.

The service personnel and people of the DPRK value peace of the country and security of the nation more than anyone else.

That is why they can never allow such military provocations as reckless intrusion into waters and preemptive firing to disturb peace and security.
The Korean People's Army has already served warnings to all provocateurs intruding inviolable territories, seas and air over which the sovereignty of the DPRK is exercised enough to make them understand how it will retaliate against them.

    The Korean People's Army is following with higher vigilance the ever-more dangerous military moves of the U.S. imperialist aggressor forces and the south Korean puppet warmongers.

    The provocateurs would be well advised not to forget the bitter lesson taught by the Yonphyong Island shelling. -0-
