The main-opposition Nepali Congress wants Prime Minister Khadga Prasad Oli out of office at any cost be it by allowing Chairman Pushpa Kamal of Unified Maoists to lead the government.

Reports quote NC insiders as saying, “The Party president Sher Bahaur is ready to support Dahal as the next prime minister”.

“However, the party wants some of the important ministerial portfolio such as Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Finance”, the source adds.

The very new equation has however come all the way from New Delhi. “While Sher Bahadur was in New Delhi, Unified Maoists Party general secretary Krishna Bahadur Mahara was also sent by the party to the Indian capital”, the report adds.

Mahara upon return from his trip to New Delhi had conveyed the alien message to his party bosses Chairman Dahal and Vice Chairman Narayan Kji.

The leaders of both Unified Maoists and Nepali Congress have concluded that the Oli government should be uprooted ahead of the scheduled budget- during the upcoming budgetary seesion of the parliament. They claim that if not now it will take six more months to oust the government.
