“Half of the population of Kashmir want to stay with India and the other half wants to side with Pakistan,” he said and asked, “Have we ever spelled Kashmir matter?”
“Why India continues to interfere on our internal matters,” he asked again.
“It is surprising for India to pelt stones towards us while it is itself a house made of glasses,” commented Mainali.
Mainali also informed the members of press at the interaction program that the government is all set to summon the ambassadors of countries in European Union and India for their Brussels statement.
Following conclusion of the 13th European Union-India conference in Brussels, the joint statement issued by EU and India, March 30 2016, points out to the need for a ‘lasting and inclusive constitutional settlement’ in Nepal.
The Nepali politicians, mostly the communists in the government have opened a tirade against the EU-India axis following the statement. The leaders of largest party, Nepali Congress men as expected have kept a stoic silence. The Nepali Congress is known for its historical duplicity.
Mainali also claimed that Indian ambassador Ranjit Rae continues to act undiplomatically and his meeting with the leaders of Madhesi parties while assuring them that India continues to support their cause- grossly violates all diplomatic norms.
