7 June, the Embassy of Pakistan organized inauguration ceremony of “Pakistan-Nepal Friendship Park” at Ward No. 8, Budhanilkantha Municipality, Kathmandu. Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal Mr. Abrar H Hashmi, was the Chief Guest on the occasion. The handover ceremony was attended by Mr. Suman Tamang, Chairman Ward 8, Goluftar, Kathmandu, Mrs. Anita Lama, Deputy Mayor, Budhanilkantha Municipality, Mr. Hari Prasad Dahal, Governor Lion, Mr. Tulsi Ram Aryal, Senior Administrative Officer, Budhanilkantha and other relevant social and prominent media representatives. Addressing the event, Special Guests expressed their gratitude to the Government of Pakistan for gifting the people of Nepal ‘Open Air Gym’ facility. They also expressed their hope that the park will serve as sign of lasting of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

Addressing the event, Ambassador Hashmi, appreciated the partnership with Budhanilkantha Municipality, Lions Club of Kathmandu and HRS Adventures Ltd for execution of Pakistan-Nepal Friendship Park in Kathmandu. He also extended deepest appreciation to the community workers, social workers, and all those who have supported this initiative. He stated that this park stands as a symbol of the enduring friendship between the two nations and reflect the strong bonds that exist between the people of Pakistan and Nepal. The Ambassador stated that our bilateral relations are built on a foundation of trust, and mutual respect and embedded in cultural exchanges, and collaborative efforts in various fields including education, health, environment and medicine. This reflects our commitment to working together for the betterment of humanity.

The Pakistan-Nepal Friendship Park is dedicated to the shared aspirations and friendship between people of Pakistan and Nepal. The Park would serve as a shared healthy facility for all ages and people from all walks of life.
The participants from the Civil Society and Residents thanked the Embassy and local Municipality for the facility. They were jubilant for the establishment of an ‘Open Air Gym’ which will be used by their children young and old persons for the benefit of their health.
