Comrades KN Ramachandran CPI-ML Red Star, Arun Maji (New Democratic Party of India), Sheomangal sidhantkar (CPI(ML) New Proletarian), and leaders of Lok Samiti, Ad ND Pancholi (Citizens for Democracy), KK Neogi (Bahujan Communist Party), Sarvahara Lokpaksh, Inquilabi Mazdoor Kendra, Lok Paksh, Dr. Parvej (All India Milli Council), All India Nepali Unity Society-Mul Pravah, Democratic People’s Lawyers’ Association, All India Peace Mission, All India Christian Minority Front, and other organizations and individuals supporting the demands of the Convention shall address the conference, says a press release issued by the RED Star dated 12 September 12, 2019.
The press note further adds that the Convention shall work out a campaign and agitation plans to mobilize people’s opinion in support of these demands.
The NRC repeal brought into effect by the Indian government also affects some half a million Indians of Nepali origin living in Assam over a century.
The exodus of Indian-Nepalese into Nepal is likely to have a negative impact upon Nepal.
To recall, as back as in 1990, the Bhutan government in tacit arrangement with the Indian establishment have had begun ethnic cleansing and in the process more than a hundred thousand of Bhutanese nationals or Nepali origin were loaded in trucks and made them to enter into Nepal forcefully.
A few thousands of the Bhutanese nationals are still languishing in camps inside Nepal.
The conference is a single day event, it is also learnt from the Organizers.
